Afcons Infrastructure Ltd, a renowned name in global construction, has made a spectacular leap into the European market by securing a landmark railway project in Croatia. The project, announced officially by the Croatian Ministry of Transport and supported by the European Union, involves the rehabilitation of an existing railway line coupled with the construction of a second track. The ambitious venture will not only modernize Croatia’s railway infrastructure but also significantly improve regional connectivity, facilitating faster and more efficient transport across the country.

Beyond civil works for track rehabilitation, the project will also include overhead electrification, advanced signaling systems, and comprehensive telecommunication installations. Valued at EUR 677.07 million, excluding taxes, this project underscores Afcons’ ability to manage large-scale engineering works. S Paramasivan, the company’s Managing Director, elaborated, “We are not just building tracks; we are paving the way for a sustainable, connected future.”
