Vietjet has launched direct Singapore–Nha Trang flights, creating a faster international gateway to one of Vietnam’s leading coastal destinations and strengthening tourism connectivity across Southeast Asia.
The new route begins operations on June 1, 2026, with four round-trip flights each week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The service links Singapore Changi Airport with Cam Ranh International Airport, the principal aviation gateway for Nha Trang and the surrounding Khanh Hoa coastal region.
Flights depart Cam Ranh at 10:25 a.m. and arrive in Singapore at 1:40 p.m. local time. The return service leaves Singapore at 3:15 p.m. and reaches Nha Trang at 4:35 p.m. local time.
The direct connection removes the need for many travellers to transfer through larger Vietnamese hubs before continuing to Nha Trang. As a result, visitors from Singapore can reach the coastal city more efficiently for short beach holidays, family trips, resort stays and longer regional itineraries.
Vietjet Strengthens Singapore–Vietnam Air Links
The Nha Trang service expands Vietjet’s direct network between Singapore and Vietnam to five destinations. The airline already connects Singapore with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Phu Quoc.
Together, these routes provide more than 100 flights per week, giving travellers a wider choice of city, island and beach destinations across Vietnam. The growing network also supports greater movement between the two countries for tourism, business travel and people-to-people exchanges.
Vietjet announced the Nha Trang route in Singapore on May 31 in the presence of Vietnam’s General Secretary To Lam. The launch reflects the expanding aviation relationship between the two markets and the importance of direct regional connectivity for Southeast Asia’s tourism economy.
For hotels, tour operators and transport providers, the route offers an opportunity to attract more independent travellers from Singapore. The four-day weekly schedule also supports flexible itineraries, including long weekends and extended coastal holidays.
Nha Trang Gains Greater International Visibility
Nha Trang is positioned along Vietnam’s south-central coastline and is known for its beaches, islands, marine ecosystem and resort experiences. The city has become increasingly attractive to travellers seeking alternatives to larger urban gateways and established island destinations.
Nha Trang Bay covers approximately 507 square kilometres and includes 19 large and small islands. Visitors can explore island-hopping itineraries, diving excursions, snorkelling experiences and coastal leisure activities.
Vietnam’s official tourism authority highlights the area’s marine biodiversity and suitability for diving and snorkelling. The destination also appeals to travellers looking for a combination of relaxation, outdoor activities and cultural sightseeing.
The direct Singapore flight is expected to improve access to beachfront hotels, luxury resorts and hospitality businesses across Nha Trang and the wider Khanh Hoa region. Cam Ranh’s resort corridor, which includes major accommodation developments around Bai Dai, may also benefit from additional international arrivals.
Hotels and Attractions Could See New Demand
Improved air access can generate wider benefits beyond airports. Travellers arriving through Cam Ranh may spend on hotels, restaurants, local transport, island tours, attractions and seafood experiences.
Nha Trang’s tourism appeal extends beyond its coastline. Visitors can combine beach stays with cultural attractions such as Ponagar Tower and Long Son Pagoda, while marine excursions provide access to islands and coral-viewing experiences.
The city is also recognised for its seafood culture. Restaurants and local eateries serve fresh fish, shellfish and regional specialities, adding a culinary dimension to coastal holidays.
For Singapore-based travellers, the new route creates another convenient short-haul beach option within Southeast Asia. It may also encourage repeat visitors to Vietnam to explore destinations beyond Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
Regional Tourism Connectivity Continues to Expand
The Singapore–Nha Trang service illustrates a wider aviation trend across Asia: airlines are adding direct links to secondary destinations as travellers seek easier access to distinctive coastal, cultural and leisure experiences.
Point-to-point flights can reduce travel time, simplify itineraries and spread visitor spending across a broader range of destinations. They can also help regional hotels and attractions reach international markets without relying solely on domestic connecting flights.
With four weekly services and a schedule designed for leisure travel, Vietjet’s new route gives Nha Trang an important opportunity to raise its international profile.
As the service begins, tourism businesses across Khanh Hoa will be watching demand closely. For travellers, the benefit is immediate: a more direct journey from Singapore to Vietnam’s beaches, islands and coastal hospitality experiences.
