Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake is scheduled to open on 23 October 2026, adding 319 rooms to Vietnam’s capital. The upper-upscale property will combine restaurants, rooftop leisure facilities, wellness amenities and event spaces in the developing Starlake district.
The opening will become Shilla Monogram’s second location in Vietnam and its fourth property worldwide. It follows hotels in Da Nang, Gangneung and Xi’an.
For Hanoi, the development introduces additional accommodation and meeting capacity near West Lake. Its mix of facilities targets international leisure visitors, corporate travellers and guests attending organised events.
Starlake Location Connects Business and Leisure
The hotel stands within Starlake, an approximately 186-hectare urban development near the western side of West Lake. The district is developing as an administrative, diplomatic and financial centre.
That setting places the property within an emerging area of commercial activity. Meanwhile, nearby West Lake offers a different experience through recreational spaces, established neighbourhoods and cultural attractions.
The lake covers approximately 500 hectares, with a shoreline extending around 17 kilometres. Visitors can explore lakeside routes and landmarks, including Tran Quoc Pagoda.
For travellers combining meetings with sightseeing, the location offers access to both contemporary development and longstanding cultural surroundings. However, specific journey times will depend on the itinerary and local transport arrangements.
Vietnamese Landscapes Influence the Design
The building’s layered architecture draws inspiration from Vietnam’s terraced rice fields. Their stepped forms provide a local reference within the hotel’s contemporary design.
Shilla Monogram’s approach combines Korean hospitality standards with elements reflecting each destination. In Hanoi, landscape-inspired architecture helps connect the property with its Vietnamese setting.
The brand operates under The Shilla Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality business of Samsung-affiliated Hotel Shilla. Adding Hanoi broadens its Vietnamese presence beyond the coastal destination of Da Nang.
This gives the company accommodation in two markets serving different travel interests. Hanoi’s capital-city role complements Da Nang’s leisure positioning within the portfolio.
Rooms Provide Space for Work and Relaxation
The hotel’s 319 rooms will serve guests visiting for business, leisure and events. Deluxe rooms measure 42 square metres and include areas for working and relaxing.
Their layout aims to accommodate travellers balancing professional commitments with time in the city. Comfortable bedding and functional interiors form part of the accommodation offer.
Signature Suites occupy the highest accommodation level, providing larger living areas and panoramic urban views. These options expand the choice for guests seeking additional space.
The room selection gives the property flexibility across visitor segments. Business appointments, sightseeing plans and the length of a stay will influence which category suits individual guests.
Restaurants Broaden the Guest Experience
Dining M will operate as the all-day restaurant, serving international dishes alongside Korean specialities. Pastry M will provide coffee, tea and pastries in a more informal setting.
Two speciality restaurants add further choice. JINJI will focus on Korean cuisine and include six private dining rooms.
Those enclosed spaces can accommodate smaller business gatherings, family meals and social occasions. HASUNGO will offer contemporary Chinese cuisine to hotel residents and local visitors.
Together, the venues extend the property’s role beyond overnight accommodation. They also allow guests to organise different dining experiences within the hotel during their stay.
Rooftop Facilities Add West Lake Views
The 35th floor will bring together the Monogram Lounge, an outdoor infinity pool and Bar M. These facilities will offer elevated views towards West Lake and across Hanoi.
The lounge will provide breakfast and happy-hour services. Bar M adds another setting for drinks and socialising.
Elsewhere, an indoor swimming pool, fitness facilities and a spa will support recreation and wellness. Guests can use those amenities alongside sightseeing or professional commitments.
The combination creates several options for spending time at the property. It also gives event participants leisure facilities within the same location as their accommodation.
Ballroom Targets Meetings and Celebrations
A 700-square-metre Grand Ballroom will anchor the hotel’s event offering. Organisers can divide it into smaller spaces to accommodate different requirements.
Additional meeting rooms, a pre-function area and an outdoor deck will broaden the available settings. These spaces target corporate gatherings, receptions and private celebrations.
Having accommodation, restaurants and meeting facilities together can simplify arrangements for visiting groups. Nevertheless, the opening announcement does not quantify future event bookings or delegate demand.
Opening Package Introduces the Property
The launch offer, “Hanoi First Monogram Moment,” includes breakfast for two at Dining M and welcome drinks at Bar M. It also provides noon check-in and checkout at 2 p.m.
The package gives guests additional time to experience the hotel’s facilities. With its October opening approaching, Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake adds a new option for stays in Hanoi’s developing western district.
