Air New Zealand and Hong Kong Airport Achieve Biometric Travel First
Air New Zealand and Hong Kong International Airport have become the first organisations to achieve IATA One ID certification. The recognition advances efforts to connect digital identity, biometric processing and passenger privacy across international air travel. The International Air Transport Association announced the certifications on 28 October 2026 at its World Passenger Symposium in Macao.
