Pan Pacific Hotels Group Announces 10 Southeast Asia Projects for 2027

Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) is accelerating its expansion across Southeast Asia with 10 new-build and major renovation projects planned for 2027, strengthening its presence across key destinations including Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Manila and Singapore. The programme forms part of the group’s Version 2.0 strategy, which focuses on evolving hotel design, technology, sustainability and guest experiences.

The Pan Pacific Hotels Group pipeline combines new hotel developments with major transformations of existing properties, reflecting changing travel patterns across the region. The group says more than half of its portfolio has already been newly built, redesigned or significantly renovated since 2020, as it works to create hotels that better respond to the changing relationship between travel, work, leisure and wellbeing.

Pan Pacific Expands Luxury and Upscale Portfolio

The 2027 programme includes Pan Pacific Phnom Penh, PARKROYAL Siem Reap, Siam Pan Pacific Bangkok, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok, PARKROYAL Hanoi, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay and PARKROYAL Jakarta. Alongside these new developments, the group is undertaking major transformations at PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur, PARKROYAL Gurney Bay Penang and PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, Singapore.

The expansion will introduce the Pan Pacific luxury brand to Bangkok and Phnom Penh, while PARKROYAL continues to grow across major urban and tourism markets. The serviced-suites portfolio is also being expanded to address demand for longer and more flexible stays.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok, located in the Thonglor district, is planned as a 34-storey property with 191 suites, alongside leisure facilities, restaurants, a bar, fitness centre, spa and residents’ lounge.

Meanwhile, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Manila Bay will form part of a mixed-use development in Metro Manila and is planned to offer 169 serviced suites, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations.

Version 2.0 Strategy Drives Portfolio Transformation

PPHG’s expansion is being shaped by its Version 2.0 programme, which goes beyond conventional hotel renovations. The strategy brings together internationally recognised architects and designers, biophilic and wellness-oriented concepts, improved sustainability infrastructure and technology designed to make hotel experiences more seamless.

Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, said the hospitality industry must adapt as travellers increasingly combine different aspects of their lives. Work and leisure are becoming less distinct, while wellness and personal experiences are playing a larger role in travel decisions.

The group says the objective is not to give every property the same look or experience, but to strengthen the identity of each brand and ensure it has a clear position within the wider portfolio.

The strategy is already visible in properties such as Pan Pacific Orchard in Singapore, which has received international recognition for its integration of greenery and biophilic design. The group’s broader transformation has also extended across properties in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Jakarta, Hanoi and other markets.

Southeast Asia Becomes a Key Growth Market

The 2027 development programme comes as Southeast Asia continues to strengthen its position as a major international travel market. For PPHG, the region offers opportunities across luxury tourism, business travel, extended stays and increasingly experience-led holidays.

The new projects give the group a broader presence across both established gateways and rapidly developing destinations. They also allow its three main brands — Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION and PARKROYAL — to target different segments of the regional hospitality market.

The programme also places greater emphasis on wellness, sustainability, technology and locally relevant experiences, areas that are increasingly influencing how travellers select accommodation.

With more than half of its portfolio already transformed since 2020, Pan Pacific Hotels Group is now entering another phase of expansion and reinvestment. The 10 projects planned for 2027 demonstrate the group’s ambition to combine new hotel openings with the renewal of established properties, while adapting its brands to the evolving needs of Southeast Asia’s travellers.
