Travellers passing through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol now have a new place to slow down before a flight, with the airport opening its largest Privium lounge for members of the Privium Members Club. The new Privium ClubLounge South brings more space, dedicated work areas, meeting facilities, food and beverages, and wellness amenities to passengers travelling to destinations within the Schengen Area.
Located in Schiphol’s Lounge 1 near the B and C gates, the 800-square-metre lounge has capacity for up to 125 passengers. For business travellers in particular, the new facility adds another option to work, take calls, grab a meal or simply take a break before boarding. The opening also comes as Schiphol continues to enhance its premium passenger services and as Privium marks its 25th anniversary in 2026.
New Privium lounge expands premium facilities at Schiphol
The new ClubLounge South is the fourth Privium lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol, adding capacity to the airport’s premium passenger offering. Unlike a traditional airport waiting area, the new lounge has been designed around both productivity and relaxation, giving travellers the opportunity to make better use of the time they have before a flight.
The lounge is available to Privium Plus members travelling to Schengen destinations, while eligible Privium Partner members and travellers with a lounge voucher can also access the facility. Schiphol says the lounge is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Its location is another practical advantage. ClubLounge South sits in Lounge 1, behind Eataly and close to gates B and C, allowing passengers departing on Schengen flights to reach the lounge without making a lengthy detour through the terminal.

The premium experience at ClubLounge South is expected to become even more convenient later in 2026. Schiphol plans to introduce an exclusive security lane leading directly to the lounge, allowing Privium members to move through the airport more efficiently.
The planned facility reflects the broader direction of Schiphol’s Privium programme, which focuses on reducing friction at different stages of the passenger journey. Privium benefits include priority access at security, fast border clearance for eligible non-Schengen journeys, dedicated parking options and selected check-in privileges.

Membership options currently range from Privium Basic at €190 per year to Privium Plus at €370 per year, according to Business Travel News Europe. Privium Plus provides access to the programme’s exclusive lounges along with other premium airport services.
Travellers who do not hold a Privium membership can also experience the lounge network through a Lounge Voucher, with Schiphol currently offering one-time access from €45 per person, subject to the applicable conditions.

ClubLounge South joins an established network of Privium facilities at Amsterdam Schiphol, each serving different passenger needs and routes.
The Privium ClubLounge Departures, located before security behind check-in row 9, caters to passengers travelling to Schengen destinations and includes workstations, private call booths, comfortable seating and a more extensive buffet.
The Privium ClubLounge West is positioned after security on Holland Boulevard and is intended primarily for passengers travelling to non-Schengen destinations. It includes work and call booths, relaxation areas, a luxury buffet and wellness facilities such as showers and a hand spa.
Meanwhile, the Privium ExpressLounge near the D-pier offers a more compact setting, with workstations, seating, refreshments and a seasonal rooftop terrace overlooking the airport apron.
