Eurowings will launch nonstop Baghdad flights from Berlin and Düsseldorf on 10 December 2026, expanding its Germany–Middle East network. Each airport will offer two weekly services to the Iraqi capital during the winter 2026/2027 programme.
The airline also plans 14 weekly Dubai flights across three German airports, alongside connections to several other regional destinations. From 1 December 2026, all Dubai services will feature its Premium BIZ Seat.
Together, the changes give passengers more direct travel options and introduce additional onboard comfort on selected routes. The wider programme covers departures from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart.
Beyond the Middle East, the winter network includes destinations across Europe, the Canary Islands and Egypt.
Baghdad Gains Two German Gateways
Baghdad represents a significant addition to the Eurowings winter schedule, with four weekly flights across its two German departure points.
The Berlin and Düsseldorf services will complement the airline’s existing Iraq operations. They also give passengers alternatives to itineraries requiring a transfer through another international airport.
For travellers visiting family, arranging business trips or planning other journeys, nonstop flights can simplify travel arrangements. However, the announcement does not provide passenger forecasts or expected booking volumes.
The two departure airports extend access from different parts of Germany. This matters for passengers comparing the complete journey, including travel to their departure airport.
Meanwhile, the addition of Baghdad strengthens a regional network that already includes Erbil.
Dubai Receives 14 Weekly Flights
Berlin will account for half the planned Dubai schedule, with a daily service during winter 2026/2027.
Stuttgart will offer four weekly flights, while Cologne/Bonn will operate three. Together, these routes create 14 weekly connections between Germany and Dubai.
The departure choices give passengers greater flexibility when selecting travel dates and airports. Daily Berlin flights provide the most frequent option within this programme.
For winter holidaymakers, the schedule creates additional opportunities to organise Dubai stays around preferred departure days. Business travellers can also compare frequencies when planning shorter visits.
However, additional flights represent expanded capacity rather than confirmed growth in visitor arrivals. Actual tourism benefits will depend on bookings and travel patterns.
Jeddah and Erbil Strengthen Regional Access
Eurowings will operate seven weekly Jeddah flights across Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn.
Berlin and Stuttgart will each offer two weekly services. Cologne/Bonn will provide three, giving western Germany the highest frequency among these departure points.
Jeddah serves leisure, religious and commercial travel, making the connections relevant to several passenger groups. The routes broaden direct access between Germany and Saudi Arabia.
Erbil will have an even wider German departure network, with services from six airports.
Passengers will be able to depart from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart. This distribution offers more regional choices when organising journeys to Iraq.
Alongside Baghdad, the Erbil programme makes Germany–Iraq connectivity a prominent part of the airline’s winter offering.
More Options Across the Eastern Mediterranean
Düsseldorf will offer three weekly flights to Tel Aviv, while Stuttgart will gain two weekly nonstop services to Amman.
These connections add further choices for passengers travelling between Germany and the eastern Mediterranean.
Beirut will receive services from Berlin, Düsseldorf and Hanover. The wider Eurowings programme also includes connections involving Prague, Salzburg and Stockholm.
The multiple departure points allow travellers to compare routes according to their location and preferred itinerary. They also spread the airline’s regional offering across several European markets.
The supplied programme does not specify frequencies for every Beirut or Erbil route. Passengers should therefore check individual schedules before arranging accommodation or onward transport.
Premium BIZ Seats Arrive in December
Eurowings will introduce its Premium BIZ Seat on all Dubai flights from 1 December 2026.
Selected services to London Heathrow, Mallorca and Málaga will also feature the product.
The cabin will occupy the first two rows of the Airbus A320neo. Eight seats will use a 2-2 arrangement, offering more personal space than the standard cabin layout.
Features include wider seats, additional legroom, greater recline and adjustable footrests. These changes address passengers seeking extra comfort during their journey.
The introduction connects the airline’s Dubai expansion with an upgraded seating option for premium customers.
Winter Travel Choices Broaden
The programme combines new destinations, additional frequencies and a different onboard experience across selected services.
For tourism businesses, the expanded schedule creates opportunities to attract visitors through more German departure airports. Hotels and other providers can align their offerings with available flight days.
For passengers, the clearest benefit is choice: more nonstop routes, several departure locations and additional seating options.
Baghdad leads the expansion, while Dubai, Jeddah and Erbil strengthen the wider regional network for winter 2026/2027.
