flyadeal has launched direct Mumbai–Riyadh flights, adding five weekly services and expanding access between India and Saudi Arabia. The route began on 3 October 2026, making Mumbai the airline’s second Indian destination after Hyderabad.
The Saudia Group low-cost carrier operates the service with 186-seat Airbus A320neo aircraft, offering an entirely Economy Class cabin. The route adds more than 7,400 passenger seats monthly between the two cities.
Beyond direct access to Riyadh, passengers can book onward journeys to destinations including Abha, Dammam, Jeddah and Madinah. These connections extend the route’s relevance to leisure travellers, business visitors and passengers visiting relatives across the Kingdom.
The launch follows flyadeal’s Hyderabad debut on 3 July 2026, marking another stage in its Indian network expansion.
Five Weekly Services Link Mumbai and Riyadh
The flyadeal Mumbai–Riyadh flights operate every day except Mondays and Fridays, providing regular departures across most of the week.
Riyadh departures leave at 00:55 and arrive in Mumbai at 07:40. Return services depart Mumbai at 08:40, reaching Riyadh at 10:15. All timings are local.
The morning arrival in Mumbai gives passengers an early start for appointments, family visits or onward travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, the mid-morning Riyadh arrival supports connections through the Saudi capital. However, passengers should check their chosen itinerary’s connection time before booking.
For travellers comparing routes, five weekly services provide additional scheduling choice. Actual fares and seat availability will depend on departure dates and booking conditions.
The new capacity also gives travel businesses another option when arranging itineraries between India’s commercial metropolis and Saudi Arabia.
Single Bookings Simplify Saudi Connections
flyadeal’s connecting arrangements allow passengers to combine Mumbai–Riyadh travel with onward domestic flights under a single booking and through fare.
On eligible journeys, checked baggage transfers directly to the final destination. This reduces the need to reclaim bags during transit.
The arrangement can make multi-city Saudi travel easier to organise, particularly for passengers unfamiliar with domestic airport procedures.
Riyadh services use Terminal 4, connecting the new international route with flyadeal’s domestic network. Available onward destinations include coastal cities and inland tourism centres.
For hospitality businesses outside the capital, these connections could improve access from Mumbai without requiring separate flight purchases.
Nevertheless, onward flights remain itinerary-dependent. Travellers should confirm baggage allowances, transfer arrangements and fare conditions for their complete journey.
India Becomes a Strategic Expansion Market
Sanjiv Kapoor, flyadeal’s Acting Chief Executive Officer and Saudia Group’s Executive Vice President Strategies, described India as a strategic priority.
He highlighted India’s aviation scale and growth potential, alongside increasing travel and tourism flows between the two countries.
Kapoor said the Mumbai launch strengthens flyadeal’s Indian presence while improving access to destinations across Saudi Arabia.
The expansion combines direct international services with domestic connections, extending the usefulness of each Indian departure beyond Riyadh alone.
Hyderabad remains part of that network. Its Riyadh-bound flights depart at 07:55 and arrive at 10:15, except Mondays and Wednesdays.
Services from Riyadh to Hyderabad depart at 23:25, arriving at 06:50 the following day, except Sundays and Tuesdays.
Together, Mumbai and Hyderabad give passengers in two major Indian cities direct access to flyadeal’s Saudi network.
Cabin Features Support the Passenger Journey
The Mumbai route’s Airbus A320neo aircraft feature Airbus Airspace interiors, including larger overhead compartments for cabin baggage.
Updated lighting and interior elements aim to create a brighter cabin environment throughout the journey.
Seats also provide USB-A or USB-C charging facilities, helping passengers keep personal devices powered during their flights.
For travellers continuing beyond Riyadh, access to charging can support practical tasks such as checking itineraries and contacting accommodation providers.
The all-Economy configuration keeps the service focused on flyadeal’s low-cost operating model. Passengers should review their selected fare’s inclusions when comparing total journey costs.
Wider Connectivity Supports Saudi Tourism
The Mumbai launch forms part of flyadeal’s international expansion within Saudia Group and supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 connectivity objectives.
More international access could support visitor demand for accommodation, attractions, dining and domestic transport across the Kingdom.
For passengers continuing through Jeddah, Terminal 1 provides access to high-speed rail services linking the airport with Makkah and Madinah.
That rail connection offers another transport option within a wider Saudi itinerary, subject to train schedules and individual travel requirements.
The new route’s immediate contribution is additional capacity between Mumbai and Riyadh. Its broader value will depend on convenient connections and passenger uptake.
As flyadeal develops its India network, travellers gain another direct gateway to Saudi Arabia and more ways to continue across the country.
