Singapore Airlines is adjusting its First Class and Suites flights for the Northern Winter 2026/27 season. Eighteen destinations from Singapore are scheduled to receive at least one of the premium cabins through March 2027.
Auckland will gain a full winter season of Airbus A380 Suites service. Melbourne and Shanghai will also see significant A380 deployment, while Mumbai and Delhi retain Suites flights. Other markets, including Dubai and Hong Kong, face changes that reduce First Class availability.
For travellers, the most important detail is the flight number. Singapore Airlines offers Suites on its A380 and First Class on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Different departures to the same city can therefore offer different premium cabins.
Aircraft assignments can change for operational reasons. Passengers seeking a particular cabin should check their selected flight when booking and again before departure.
Auckland Gains Daily A380 Suites
Singapore Airlines plans to operate its A380 on Auckland flights SQ285 and SQ286 during the Northern Winter season. The aircraft replaces a Boeing 777-300ER on those services and brings the carrier’s Suites cabin to the route.
The airline’s announced A380 configuration has six Suites among its 471 seats. Its other cabins include Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy, making the aircraft relevant to travellers across several budgets.
Auckland’s second daily Singapore Airlines service is scheduled to use a Boeing 777-300ER. That gives passengers a choice between Suites and First Class on different departures, subject to the final aircraft assignment.
The change also matters beyond Singapore-originating journeys. Passengers can connect through Singapore from other Asian and European markets before continuing to New Zealand. For Auckland’s tourism sector, the A380 service preserves substantial international capacity during the season.
Melbourne and Sydney Offer Cabin Choice
Melbourne’s SQ237 and SQ228 services are scheduled to retain the A380 through the winter period. Another Melbourne service uses a Boeing 777-300ER, giving travellers different premium cabin options by flight.
Sydney likewise remains an important A380 market, alongside selected 777-300ER services. Travellers heading to Australia should compare departures carefully if Suites or First Class influences their booking.
Premium flight options can help serve luxury holidays and corporate travel. However, an aircraft change alone does not establish that a destination will receive more high-spending visitors. Tourism demand, fares and available hotel rooms will shape the wider effect.

India and Shanghai Retain Suites Access
Mumbai’s SQ424 and SQ423 services are scheduled to operate with the A380 during the winter season. Delhi’s SQ406 and SQ403 are also listed with the aircraft, maintaining direct Suites access from both Indian cities.
Those flights give premium passengers additional choices between India and Singapore. They can also form part of longer journeys through the airline’s Singapore hub, depending on schedules and seat availability.
Shanghai is scheduled to receive A380 Suites on SQ830 and SQ833. A separate Boeing 777-300ER service offers First Class, creating another market where passengers must distinguish between flight numbers.
The Shanghai deployment could serve both business and leisure travel between Singapore and eastern China. Its tourism impact will depend on how many visitors use the available seats and where their journeys begin or end.
Europe Sees Mixed Premium Aircraft
London Heathrow continues to receive both A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class on different Singapore Airlines services. Travellers booking the London route should check the aircraft assigned to their departure.
Frankfurt’s schedule changes from October 25, when SQ326 and SQ325 are due to move from the A380 to a 777-300ER. The route would retain First Class, but passengers on those flights would no longer receive the A380 Suites product.
Amsterdam, Paris and Zurich remain among the European destinations scheduled for 777-300ER First Class. These services support journeys between Europe and Singapore, including onward connections across the airline’s network.
Some Routes Lose First Class Options
Dubai’s scheduled daily service moves to a two-class A350 from October 25, removing First Class for the winter period. A 777-300ER with First Class is scheduled to return in late March 2027.
Hong Kong is due to lose one 777-300ER First Class rotation after October 24. Jakarta will retain First Class services, but with fewer daily opportunities than in the previous winter season.
These differences show why a destination list cannot tell the full story. Travellers need the flight number, travel date and current aircraft assignment to identify the cabin they can book.
Singapore Airlines’ winter plan strengthens Suites access on several routes while shifting premium capacity elsewhere. Its final effect on luxury tourism will become clearer as travellers book flights and the airline operates the published schedule.
