Vietnam Airlines Unleashes Two Million Discounted Seats as Amsterdam, Moscow and Phuket Routes Fuel Summer Travel Demand

Vietnam Airlines Group is placing more than two million discounted domestic seats into the market as Vietnam prepares for one of its busiest summer travel periods. The campaign covers key tourism routes linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat and other popular destinations, giving travelers more opportunities to explore the country during the peak holiday season.

The push comes as Vietnam Airlines expands international connectivity from major markets including the Netherlands, Russia and Thailand. New and enhanced routes are strengthening access to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City while supporting onward domestic travel to beaches, heritage cities, island resorts and regional tourism hubs.

For hotels, attractions, restaurants and local transport providers, the additional discounted inventory can help stimulate bookings across multiple regions. It also gives travelers more flexibility to combine major cities with coastal escapes and cultural destinations within a single itinerary.

Hanoi, Da Nang and Hue Gain From Summer Promotions

Vietnam Airlines is promoting selected domestic routes through its Hello Summer 2026 campaign, with discounted fares available on services connecting Hanoi with Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Hue, Dong Hoi and Da Nang.

The airline is also offering promotional fares on routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Hue, Phu Quoc, Thanh Hoa, Con Dao, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Vinh. Additional offers apply on services from Da Nang to Buon Ma Thuot and Da Lat.

These connections support several different travel patterns. Hanoi remains a major northern gateway for culture, food and city tourism. Da Nang continues to attract beach travelers while serving as a base for central Vietnam itineraries. Hue appeals to visitors seeking imperial heritage, historic architecture and cultural experiences.

The discounted-seat campaign also strengthens regional tourism by making smaller destinations easier to include in summer plans. Travelers can combine major hubs with coastal resorts, highland retreats and heritage stops without relying on long road journeys.

Amsterdam Route Opens a New European Gateway

Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights between Hanoi and Amsterdam from June 16, 2026. The route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, creating a new nonstop link between northern Vietnam and the Netherlands.

The service is expected to support both inbound tourism and business travel. Dutch and wider European travelers will gain a more convenient route into Hanoi, with onward domestic connections available to central and southern destinations.

The Amsterdam launch also strengthens Vietnam’s appeal as a multi-stop destination. Visitors arriving in Hanoi can explore the capital before traveling to Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang or Phu Quoc. For the tourism industry, this creates opportunities across hotels, domestic airlines, attractions, restaurants and tour operators.

Moscow and Phuket Services Expand Regional Choice

Vietnam Airlines is also increasing the frequency of its Hanoi–Moscow route to four flights per week from July 1, 2026. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, giving travelers greater flexibility for tourism and business trips between Vietnam and Russia.

From July 2, 2026, the airline will also launch nonstop flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket. The Thailand route connects two of Southeast Asia’s most important leisure markets and gives travelers another option for combining city stays with beach holidays.

These international developments complement the domestic fare campaign. Travelers arriving from Europe or Russia can continue to popular destinations across Vietnam, while regional passengers can build multi-country itineraries using Ho Chi Minh City as a key gateway.

Vietnam Airlines continues to encourage passengers to plan early and use digital booking tools to secure preferred schedules. Travelers can book through the airline’s website, mobile application, ticket offices and authorized travel agents.
