Indian Hotels Company has launched the Taj InnerCircle Series, expanding its loyalty proposition beyond hotel stays, points and conventional member privileges.
The new experiential platform will connect Taj InnerCircle members with global creators, acclaimed brands and specially curated cultural encounters. Events will take place across selected Taj hotels, using the company’s hospitality network and long-standing international relationships.
The initiative reflects changing expectations among luxury travellers. Increasingly, affluent guests seek personalised access, memorable encounters and cultural discovery alongside premium accommodation and service.
Through the Taj InnerCircle Series, IHCL plans to create experiences spanning gastronomy, wellness, lifestyle, craftsmanship and creativity. This approach transforms loyalty from a transactional system into a broader journey shaped by access and storytelling.
The first chapter brought Brazilian cocktail culture to Mumbai through an exclusive collaboration with São Paulo bar Exímia.
Exímia Makes India Debut in Mumbai
Exímia made its India debut at Loya inside The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. The event introduced Taj InnerCircle members to contemporary Brazilian mixology within one of India’s best-known luxury hotels.
The São Paulo venue was ranked No. 61 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list. Its appearance in Mumbai connected an internationally recognised beverage concept with Taj’s culinary and hospitality platform.
Márcio Silva, co-founder of Exímia, hosted the event. Silva was also listed at No. 29 on The Bar World 100 2026 for his contribution to the international beverage industry.
The collaboration extended beyond a conventional food and drink event. It provided members with direct access to an influential creator while presenting the techniques and stories behind Exímia’s cocktails.
For IHCL, the evening demonstrated how hotel spaces can become platforms for international cultural exchange. It also highlighted the growing role of gastronomy and mixology within luxury travel experiences.
Brazilian Cocktails Meet Northern Indian Cuisine
The event paired Exímia’s modern Brazilian cocktail philosophy with Loya’s culinary interpretation of India’s Great North.
Guests experienced signature cocktails alongside an omakase-style tasting menu. The carefully sequenced format allowed the beverages and dishes to develop as one connected sensory journey.
Exímia’s creations introduced contemporary Brazilian flavours and combinations. Meanwhile, Loya presented regional culinary traditions shaped by the landscapes and communities of northern India.
The pairing encouraged members to explore two distinct cultures through taste, technique and storytelling. It also illustrated how luxury hotels can use their restaurants to create experiences that reach beyond accommodation.
Food and beverage collaborations can motivate local visits, staycations and special-occasion travel. They may also attract international guests seeking culturally distinctive dining rather than standardised hotel offerings.
By hosting the collaboration at The Taj Mahal Palace, IHCL connected global cocktail innovation with Mumbai’s established luxury hospitality identity.
Experiential Luxury Changes Loyalty Programmes
Traditional hotel loyalty programmes usually focus on room nights, upgrades, discounts and redeemable points. However, luxury travellers increasingly place greater value on exclusive access and personalised moments.
The Taj InnerCircle Series responds by placing members inside experiences that may be difficult to recreate independently. Direct engagement with chefs, artists, craftspeople and other creators can make loyalty feel more personal.
This model also allows hotels to build relationships with guests between overnight stays. A member may engage with Taj through a dining event, cultural programme or wellness experience without booking a room.
That wider relationship can strengthen brand attachment while encouraging guests to explore different Taj properties and destinations. It could also support restaurants, bars, event teams and other hotel services.
For travellers, the value lies in discovery and connection. For IHCL, the platform creates new opportunities to differentiate its loyalty programme within a competitive luxury hospitality market.
Taj Hotels Become Cultural Platforms
The Taj InnerCircle Series draws on relationships developed by Taj across generations. These connections can help the company bring international talent and distinctive brands into its hotels.
Future chapters are expected to explore different parts of the luxury lifestyle sector. Gastronomy, culture, wellness, design and craftsmanship could all support experiences tailored to specific audiences.
Each event can also use its host property as part of the story. Historic city hotels, resorts and destination properties offer different settings for culinary, artistic or wellbeing programmes.
This strategy gives hotels a role beyond providing rooms. Properties can become meeting places where members encounter global ideas while remaining connected to local culture and service traditions.
The format may further strengthen destination appeal by giving travellers time-sensitive reasons to visit. Exclusive programmes can support short breaks, dining trips and extended stays built around a particular event.
IHCL Deepens Connections With Loyal Guests
The Exímia collaboration represents the opening chapter of a wider collection of Taj InnerCircle experiences.
IHCL aims to combine exceptional talent, distinctive locations and personalised hospitality across future events. The success of the series will depend on maintaining exclusivity while offering experiences with clear cultural and emotional value.
The initiative signals an important shift in luxury loyalty. Recognition is no longer limited to points, benefits or room categories. Access to expertise, creativity and human connection now carries growing importance.
Through the Taj InnerCircle Series, IHCL is turning loyalty into participation. Members will not simply receive rewards; they will enter carefully created stories that connect global influences with Taj’s heritage and hospitality.
