Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah has strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Ismail Alcay as General Manager and Bilgehan Ay as Director of Revenue as the beachfront resort prepares for its next phase of operational and commercial growth.
The appointments place experienced international hospitality executives at the centre of the property’s development strategy, with Alcay focusing on resort operations, service standards and guest experience while Ay leads revenue optimisation and wider commercial performance.
Their arrival comes as Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality landscape continues expanding with new resorts, branded developments and tourism infrastructure. The emirate’s official tourism platform highlights a significant pipeline of international luxury hotels and thousands of additional hotel rooms planned across major waterfront developments.
Ismail Alcay returns as General Manager
Alcay returns to Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah with more than 20 years of international hospitality experience.
He previously worked at the resort as Executive Assistant Manager for Food and Beverage, giving him direct knowledge of the property, its team and its operating environment.
He later became Hotel Manager at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, another Ennismore property, before returning to lead Rixos Al Mairid.
His career has included hospitality experience across the UAE, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Jordan and Canada, including positions connected with brands such as Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Six Senses and Kempinski.
Alcay’s background covers food and beverage, hotel operations, guest experience, commercial strategy and resort management.
His familiarity with both the property and the wider Ennismore ecosystem could support continuity as the resort introduces further enhancements.
Bilgehan Ay strengthens commercial strategy
Bilgehan Ay joins as Director of Revenue with more than 15 years of experience across revenue management, hotel performance and commercial strategy.
His career spans hospitality markets in Europe, the Middle East, Türkiye and the United States.
Before joining Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah, Ay held a corporate leadership role with Radisson Hotel Group in Madrid, managing commercial performance across a portfolio of 15 hotels with annual revenues exceeding €55 million.
His responsibilities included pricing strategy, revenue transformation, forecasting and performance improvement.
Ay has also worked with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island, Marriott Design Hotels and Radisson Blu Hotels, adding experience across both established properties and luxury resort development.
At Rixos Al Mairid, his remit will focus on strengthening pricing, forecasting, distribution and total revenue management as the resort seeks sustainable growth.
Resort builds on ultra-all-inclusive positioning
Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah was reimagined under the Rixos brand in 2024, strengthening the emirate’s premium all-inclusive resort portfolio.
Official Ennismore information describes the property as an ultra-all-inclusive beachfront resort extending along 1.5 kilometres of private shoreline.
Its hospitality proposition combines hundreds of rooms and suites with multiple restaurants and bars, seven swimming pools, family facilities, entertainment programmes, wellness experiences and sports activities.
The resort is designed for families, couples and leisure travellers seeking an integrated holiday where dining, recreation and entertainment form part of the overall stay.
This model is becoming increasingly important within Ras Al Khaimah’s growing resort market.
Ras Al Khaimah hotel competition intensifies
The leadership appointments also come as competition expands across the emirate.
Ras Al Khaimah is developing a broader collection of luxury beachfront hotels, lifestyle resorts and branded hospitality projects.
The official destination authority identifies upcoming properties associated with brands including JW Marriott, Four Seasons and Nobu, alongside other hotel developments around Al Marjan Island and Mina Al Arab.
For established resorts, that growth increases the importance of strong commercial management, differentiated experiences and consistently high service levels.
Revenue teams must respond to changing demand across international visitors, UAE staycation guests, families and premium leisure travellers.
At the same time, operations teams need to ensure that larger destination capacity translates into stronger guest satisfaction and repeat demand.
All-inclusive tourism supports destination expansion
Rixos has positioned luxury all-inclusive travel around dining, entertainment, family experiences, wellness and activities rather than accommodation alone.
That approach can support longer resort stays while increasing the appeal of Ras Al Khaimah to travellers seeking a self-contained beachfront holiday.
Ennismore has also continued expanding its all-inclusive portfolio internationally, demonstrating wider confidence in the segment.
For Ras Al Khaimah, diversified resort concepts add to an offering already built around beaches, mountains, deserts, adventure tourism and premium hospitality.
New leadership guides next resort chapter
The appointments of Alcay and Ay therefore arrive at an important point for Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah.
Alcay brings detailed operational knowledge and international resort experience, while Ay adds commercial expertise designed to strengthen revenue performance and market positioning.
As the property advances further enhancements and Ras Al Khaimah’s hotel market becomes increasingly competitive, leadership capability will play a central role in maintaining differentiation.
The strengthened executive team positions Rixos Al Mairid to build on its ultra-all-inclusive identity while supporting Ras Al Khaimah’s wider ambition to attract more international leisure travellers through premium beachfront hospitality.
