Emirates A380 Is Coming to Delhi with Premium Economy, Transforming India–Dubai Luxury Air Travel from October

Emirates will introduce its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft on the Dubai–Delhi route from 25 October 2026, bringing the airline’s four-class double-decker experience and Premium Economy cabin to the Indian capital.

The aircraft will operate Emirates flights EK512 and EK513, making Delhi the airline’s third A380 destination in India after Mumbai and Bengaluru. The upgrade represents a major expansion of premium aviation capacity on one of the most important international travel corridors connecting India with the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates will also deploy retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft on its three other daily Delhi services. As a result, Premium Economy will be available across all four daily Emirates flights between Delhi and Dubai from the end of October.

The expansion is expected to strengthen travel options for leisure visitors, corporate passengers, families and international connecting travellers using Dubai as a gateway to destinations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.

Delhi Becomes Emirates’ Third Indian A380 Gateway

The introduction of the Emirates A380 to Delhi reflects sustained passenger demand between India and Dubai and the growing importance of Delhi as a global aviation gateway.

Delhi joins Mumbai and Bengaluru in receiving regular Emirates A380 services, extending the airline’s double-decker network across three major Indian metropolitan markets.

The four-class A380 will offer Economy Class, Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class. Its arrival will give passengers departing from Delhi access to one of Emirates’ most recognisable aircraft, known for its spacious twin-deck design and broad range of premium onboard services.

Meanwhile, flights EK511, EK515 and EK517 will continue operating with upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft featuring the same four cabin categories. This coordinated deployment provides greater consistency for travellers selecting enhanced cabin products across the airline’s Delhi schedule.

Premium Economy Reaches Every Daily Delhi Flight

Premium Economy is a central part of Emirates’ latest India strategy. The cabin has been developed for passengers seeking more space and elevated service while remaining below Business Class pricing.

Travellers can expect cream leather seating, increased legroom, deeper recline and additional personal space. The experience also includes upgraded dining served on chinaware and a selection of amenities intended to improve comfort during international journeys.

Making Premium Economy available on every daily Delhi service will provide passengers with more flexibility when choosing flight times. It may prove particularly attractive to business travellers, older passengers, families and holidaymakers continuing beyond Dubai on longer connecting itineraries.

The expansion also responds to changing traveller expectations across India, where demand is growing for cabin products that combine comfort, convenience and value.

Emirates Expands Premium Cabins Across Six Indian Cities

By the end of October, Emirates Premium Economy will be available on selected services from six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi.

The rollout will cover four daily services from Delhi, 22 weekly flights from Mumbai, nine from Ahmedabad, seven from Bengaluru, 12 from Kolkata and two from Kochi.

Kolkata will receive a significant aircraft upgrade from 25 October when Emirates replaces the Boeing 777 operating daily flights EK570 and EK571 with its next-generation Airbus A350.

The A350 service will introduce Emirates Premium Economy to the route. Five additional weekly Kolkata flights, EK572 and EK573, will operate with retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft, making Premium Economy available across all 12 weekly Emirates services between Kolkata and Dubai.

This wider rollout shows that the airline’s premium product investment is extending beyond India’s largest western and southern aviation markets to include eastern India.

India Network Supports Tourism and International Connectivity

Emirates currently operates 167 weekly passenger flights from nine Indian gateways: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

Through Dubai, Indian passengers can connect with an Emirates network spanning almost 140 destinations. These links support outbound holidays, inbound tourism, business travel, education, family visits and commercial activity between India and international markets.

Dubai also remains a major destination for Indian visitors because of its short flying distance, hospitality infrastructure, retail attractions, entertainment venues and extensive onward air connections.

Deploying the A380 to Delhi will further strengthen Dubai’s role as an international transit hub while giving Indian passengers access to a more consistent premium travel experience.

Ground and Onboard Services Receive Further Investment

Emirates is complementing its fleet upgrades with customer-service investments across India. The airline has opened retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with additional locations planned for Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

A dedicated customer call centre is also planned in Mumbai, providing additional support for passengers booking and managing international journeys.

Onboard Indian routes, Emirates offers regionally inspired meals and cabin crews capable of assisting travellers in Hindi and selected regional languages.

Its inflight entertainment system provides more than 6,500 channels, including Bollywood films and programming in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati and Kannada.

Together, the A380 launch, Premium Economy expansion and service improvements signal a wider commitment to India’s rapidly developing international travel market.

For Delhi passengers, the October deployment will deliver greater cabin choice, enhanced comfort and smoother access to Dubai and destinations worldwide, marking an important new chapter in premium air connectivity between India and the UAE.
